Jonathan Zar is Secretary for VOIPSA and Chair of the Outreach Committee.

He is responsible for awareness, education and outreach to members, the press and the public at large.

Recently affiliated with SonicWALL, Jonathan is now affiliated with Pingalo. Prior to SonicWall, he led teams to build new markets at start-ups and large companies including: Nextance, Compaq and Apple.

At Apple Computer he established the Firewire brand, defining a new market in digital convergence for computing, consumer electronics and communications.

Industry results include: Primetime Emmy Engineering Award and Best of Comdex.

He is currently an advisor to venture investors and management on the following topics:

• emerging market development
• technology commercialization
• channel strategies for growth

Mr. Zar is a member of the IEEE, the ACM, the Licensing Executive Society, the State Bar of California, and TiE, a global association for entrepreneurs.
