I don't find wikipedia to always be a great source of data for security
issues...

I've never heard of vamming. Sounds like nonsense to me.

Go to Wikipedia and delete it.
You're an expert in the field and you can claim there's no basis to call
unwanted calls over VOIP with any cutesy name.
However, even better would be to add in a paragraph that is titled "Cute
Names for VOIP Spam" in which you mention both SPIT and VAM and ridicule
them both as being cutesy and non-canonical. This is better because
there's less chance that someone will follow you by reinstating them.
I've corrected a number of stupidities in Wikipedia this way.
