[VOIPSEC] Security Issue With Dataconnect in India

Hi,

  In India, wireless dataconnect are sold. They provide internet
connectivity over the same
mobile network. They are preconfigured / hardcoded with password equal to
mobile number. If
mobile number is known to someone else, can another person connect to
internet using
someone else's mobile number.

  What kind of security issues are there? What is the purpose of providing
hardcoded mobile
number as password ? Is anyone from these vendors on this list?
