Why should I care? Oh I don't know let me count the reasons:

1) It massages my morals to think I'm leaving someone with the
ability to at least dial 911 in the event of an emergency.
With the global economy in the toilet, things are becoming
financially difficult to some people. Just because I wasn't
specifically told to do so, I'd like to believe people are
still people and not a client ID number.

2) Do I or my company want to be caselaw on a lawsuit? I'd
rather think ahead then sitting around waiting for someone
   else to dictate to me.

3) It's a fix that could be implemented in under a minute and
guess what? It can potentially save a life. So if you don't
see the need to *want* to send 911 irrespective of a client
   paying a bill.
