VOIPSEC readers,
FYI, earlier this week I uploaded Blue Box Podcast Special Edition #17
which features an interview Martyn Davies recorded with Saverio Niccolini
of NEC at the 3GSM conference in Barcelona earlier this year. In the
interview, Saverio talks about NECs program called "VOIP SEAL" that comes
out of their research into the world of tools/techniques to combat Spam
for Internet Telephony, aka SPIT. The MP3 file is available at:
http://www.blueboxpodcast.com/2007/04/blue_box_se_17_.html
Saverio also provided links to several documents about VOIP SEAL which are
also included in the show notes. We appreciate both Martyn and Saverio
taking the time to record this interview.
Please also note that we're definitely open to running other audio
interviews like this one as part of the Blue Box podcast feed. Our goal
is simply to assist in the distribution of information about VoIP
security. So if you interview someone or give a presentation or are on a
panel and have a recording, drop us a line at "blueboxpodcast at gmail.com"
and we'd be glad to talk about running it through the Blue Box feed. Given
that its basically under the VOIPSA banner, we do ask that presentations
be non-commercial, i.e. we're not looking to run anyone's marketing
presentations. Interviews about interesting VoIP security technology,
tutorials, case studies... all of those could be interesting. Drop us a
note if you have an idea.
In the meantime, enjoy this special edition...
Dan
P.S. And for those wondering where Blue Box #55 is... Jonathan and I do
apologize for the delay... first I was in Egypt, then he was in Japan...
and schedules haven't aligned. We're hoping that next week can mark the
return to *weekly* episodes.
