VOIPSEC readers,

(PLEASE DON'T REPLY TO ME - posting this for a friend)

The folks over at the Security Roundtable podcast
(http://www.securityroundtable.com/ ) are looking for a guest to be
interviewed on this coming Monday night, October 10th, on the subject of
Instant Messaging security. It's actually a topic that I would personally
be comfortable talking about, but since I was just the guest last time
talking about VoIP Security (http://www.securityroundtable.com/?p=15 ), it
would be much better to have someone else join the group. It's a fun and
fairly loose format. One guest and four other security professionals
engaged in a conversation about IM security.

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED, please contact Martin McKeay at
'martin at mckeay.net'. The recording is Monday, October 10th, at 6pm
Pacific/9pm Eastern. With setup, pre-recording chat, etc., you'll
probably be on the call for about 60 minutes or so. As noted below, the
recording will take place via a Skype conference call.

Regards,
Dan

P.S. Readers in Canada, have a great Thanksgiving long weekend!

night

Dan,

Having someone from the VOIPSEC group would be great! All I ask is that
they have Skype and a headset/mic combo or a headset and mic. Using a mic
and speakers with Skype leads to some horrible echo. They should contact
me at martin at mckeay.net, or they can call me at 707-529-7701 if necessary.

We have some great people in the Security Roundtable, but I don't think IM
is a specialty of any of us. Thanks for the offer, I think we'll all
learn something from someone who's done some in-depth research into the
security concerns behind IM in the business place. And it'll give us a
chance to get in touch with another security professional who has
something to share.

Thanks again and have a good time on your trip,

Martin
