The ISS-International Security Symposium - VoIP seeks papers on security
research, standards, regulatory, international affairs, business and
economic, and technology for VoIP. Abstracts are encouraged immediately
with final papers due February 1, 2006. Papers will be juried and finalists
selected for presentation at the International Security Symposium June 1& 2,
in Boulder, Colorado - St. Julien Hotel.
Jurists include: Dr. Timothy Schoechle, Secretary of ISO/IEC JTC1 SC25 WG1
international standards committee, Dr. Philip A. Gordon J.D. international
licensing expert and legal advisor, Paul C. Daubitz - independent consultant
and expert witness, Hal Josephson - economic development and international
advisor to governments on technology, Thomas B. Cross - security columnist,
author and researcher and others.
CRITERIA FOR ACCEPTANCE - submissions will be judged on the following
attributes:
* Appeal to new and/or established security and VoIP practitioners
* Solid practical, technical, legal, regulatory or research merit
* Original, compelling, thought-provoking content
* High-quality written in non-technical language and graphic
presentation
* Contribution to VoIP practice, theory, business, global security and
personal privacy
Note: Marketing pitches will not be accepted and Submissions may not be
altered after acceptance. However, if a vendor presentation is accepted,
space will be provided for company literature.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS - A paper or presentation will not be required until
after a proposal is accepted. Please note that when proposals are being
assessed, the abstract is read first. It is, therefore, crucial to write an
abstract that clearly describes the topic and why it would be of interest to
the ITS audience.
* Title of session
* Name of Presenter(s)
* Full contact information on the person submitting, who will be the
sole contact person regarding the proposal
* Level of Session - intermediate to advanced is recommended
* Length and format - estimated length and final format (Word,
PowerPoint or Flash)
* Summary or Abstract (up to 500 words)
REGISTRATION - Attendance in the conference is strictly limited to ensure
indepth discussions regarding the presentations. Attendance fees are $995
prior to March 1 and $1495 thereafter. Conference fees include conference
meals and conference materials, however does not include hotel or other
