[VOIPSEC] RE: Call Detail Records for VOIP Calls

Actually configuring CDR varies from PBX configuration to VOIP
configuration. For example, configuring CDR/SMDR on a traditional PBX is
usually setting what speed and what output one wants it in (CRT, PRT
(printer). On the newer VOIP gateways, one can configure and select the
various fields plus some additional ones that were not previously available
on some traditional PBX systems. The format for CDR/SMDR varies from
traditional PBX also. Parsing CDR/SMDR records can get quite interesting

As illustrated this is raw format, without padding numbers . Some VOIP
systems that replacing the traditional PBX systems do not always have the
capability of providing SMDR or CDR. Most of the newer VOIP systems
possibly tie-in with some of the older CDR systems. But as you can tell it
is quite difficult attempting to ensure a VOIP migration is in compliance.
